Time and Attendance is a vital part of running a hospitality business and managing your staff, and it has been since the Industrial Revolution in the 19th Century.
It has evolved over the years from punching the time and date on a paper card, to scanning hands in a machine, to now utilising facial recognition technology.

T&A via the MyEPS app allows employees to register their start and end times as well as begin and finish their breaks.
For managers, this means that time is saved as their team don’t need to queue up waiting to clock in at the start of their shift.
But, I hear you ask, how do I know that someone isn’t clocking in when they’re still on the bus or power-walking towards the hotel? With a geo-ringfence, employees have to be within a certain area to be able to clock in, otherwise the app will say they are outside the permitted area. This way, you know that your staff are on the premises when saying they’re starting their shift.
T&A Mobile also enhances accuracy, so managers can see the locations of the clocks in and out, as well as the times, with the detail down to the second.
For staff, this gives the opportunity to add extra details by adding a note when clocking in or out, e.g. ‘Sorry, my train was late’, or ‘Stayed to help out as Joe went home sick’. This allows employees to provide a record when there may be questions around the times they arrived at the property or left it.
